About Me

I have 25 years of experience as a researcher, a parent and a therapist that can help you find solutions for your family.

I attended Binghamton University as an undergraduate and then worked for 8 years in medical research at well-known institutions including UCLA Medical Center, Columbia University Medical Center and the National Cancer Institute where I was an Assistant Research Scientist and co-authored several research publications.  I completed my Master’s in Social Work at  Fordham University in 2001 with a specialization in children, adolescents and families.  I opened my own practice in 2002 and completed extensive training in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and Attachment Based Interpersonal Neurobiology.  I currently work with parents to help them navigate their own emotional roadblocks with their teens and adolescents.
